Troop 606 is a non-denominational Boy Scout troop that has been serving Irvine’s youth since 1968. The Troop has a strong tradition of advancement, monthly outings, annual summer camp and high adventure treks. The Troop is proud of its 130+ Eagle Scouts. Check out our latest Troop 606 Newsletter.

Goals of Troop 606

  • Introduce Scouts to the outdoors through high adventure events
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Instill a desire to serve their community
  • Encourage our Scouts to reach the rank of Eagle when ready

Interested in becoming a Troop 606 Boy Scout?

  • Boys age 11 (5th grade) to 18 (12th grade) are welcome to join. Best time to join our Troop is in December through February.
  • Success in Boy Scouts requires the Scout’s personal commitment, dedication, and self-motivation.
  • The boys themselves provide the Troop leadership. Parent Scouters provide guidance and mentoring.
  • Parent support is essential. Boys are more successful when parents are involved.
  • If you’d like to know more about Troop 606, read the materials contained in our General Information section of the website.
